Let Congress Hear Your Insurance Story Congressman Gene Taylor (MS) is working to hold insurers accountable for treating their Katrina/Rita claimants (including himself), unfairly. He needs all 2005 hurricane victims who’ve had any insurance-related problems to complete and submit to his office a simple reporting “Katrina Horror Story” form. The information will be used for federal hearings. United Policyholders encourages all claimants whose property was damaged in the 2005 hurricane season to complete the form and send it in as soon as possible to the address at the bottom of the form. Insurers will not be permitted to penalize or harass anyone who completes and returns the form. It has been our experience that complaining in writing about unfair insurance treatment will help, not hurt your chances of getting a fair settlement from your insurance company.
